With a cast that size there would be considerable cost savings by cutting the show. I would honestly and truly hate to see that happen but it is hard to say what the priorities are for Walt Disney World nowadays.Posted September 12, 2012 at 6:06 PM

They are moving the show to Africa so that Camp Minnie Mickey can become Pandora. They are not just going to get rid of their most popular shows in any Disney parkPosted September 12, 2012 at 8:50 PM

They are just moving it.....originally scheduled to close this January, but they might delay a bit since the new theater is not quite ready for them and Pandora is getting delayed a bit.Posted September 13, 2012 at 6:41 AM

that was just speculation and rumours, avatar is still on the cardsPosted September 13, 2012 at 9:37 AM

It should come back. Should. There's still a very good chance it doesn't come back.Posted September 13, 2012 at 11:14 AM What's certain is that it won't close and reopen right away. Expect the show to be dark for a while. And Avatar still isn't a guarantee.

Festival of the Lion King is not going to the chopping block. They have been able to recreate this attraction at the non USA parks with great success. Posted September 13, 2012 at 9:02 PM

I don't understand the link between Animal Kindgom and Pandora. Seems to me that it would fit better in HS! :/ Posted September 18, 2012 at 8:25 AM

^^^^^Posted September 18, 2012 at 1:33 PM I think it's a "loose" connection. Pandora was all about "nature", preserving eco systems, letting the creatures & plant life live & so on. I'm thinking it's a similar style link to animals living in the wild in their natural habitat. Just a guess :-)
