What park would replace EpcotWalt Disney World: What park would disney design, for the spot.
From Karly Tenney
After reading Robert's post on Epcot. I had a epiphany, what park would replace Epcot if it was knocked down (which we all know would never ever happen). Or will it? ;)Posted September 29, 2012 at 10:01 PM

.............................Why not build a 5th park in unused land?Posted September 30, 2012 at 6:44 AM

Flordia could grow a spine and make disney build the real EPCOT... Posted September 30, 2012 at 11:10 AM "Hey Disney, you remember all those concessions we gave you to build that futuristic city? How's that going?"
From Aaron M.
I dont think they would every knock down EPCOT. But if they did, it should be to build the real one, the one Walt created. The whole reason why he bought the land here in Florida in the first place.Posted September 30, 2012 at 12:00 PM

Why would Disney ever "knock down" the park with the third highest attendance in North America? Just inject some cash into redevelopment/reinvigoration and bring the park back up to its top notch status.Posted September 30, 2012 at 1:42 PM

I thought Disney WAS building a 5th park. It is called 'Golden Oak' and has the theme of what it is like to be in the 1%.Posted October 2, 2012 at 6:20 AM http://www.disneygoldenoak.com

There's never replacing EPCOT, so I can't even think of a replacement park.Posted October 2, 2012 at 10:41 AM I'd love the originally designed EPCOT but as another park, not a replacement.

Disney Sea! Or a completely new concept. Something that opens in the evening and stays open late for the night owls like me, who blister in the heat of the Florida sun. I don't really have a concept past that.. at least not one that is in line with Disney's target audience. But I'd love a nighttime park. Posted October 2, 2012 at 4:56 PM

This was my idea that I posted in the other thread (and I know Epcot isn't going anywhere) but this clearly is just for fun.Posted October 2, 2012 at 5:53 PM A space themed park! DisneySpace! (An out of this world experience!) There could be Space Mountain 2, older attractions like Mission to Mars & Alien encounter (and captian eo could have have a spot if there's room, haha) A Stars Wars land would fit nicely in a park about space. Maybe another Twilight Zone E-ticket attraction, possibly based on one of the galaxy themed episodes. Also Buzz Lightyear, Wall- E, & Stitch would have a few attractions & high profile due to the fact they're based in space. Even other franchise like Tron or Treasure Planet, while not specifically spaced themed, still would fit in a "sci fi" style park (like Little mermaid in DCA) And at least there'd be a park to put all that Mars Needs Moms & John Carter merchandise....:-)

Tomorrowland in Disneyland,Ca, Disneyland,Tokyo and MK should be renamed to SCi-fi land or spaceland (because it is what they are today). Epcot should return to be a place where you could foresee and experience the future.Posted October 3, 2012 at 3:09 PM

^Jay R., I love the name "DisneySpace". In Theme Park Apprentice 2 I proposed "DisneySky" to follow DisneyLand and DisneySea. DisneySpace would make a great partner to these parks. Come on WDW, you've got the room for all of these parks!Posted October 3, 2012 at 3:33 PM

Brazillian food, music, a simulated night time ride on the Amazon through the rain forest. Maybe a few hippos. That sort of thing.Posted October 10, 2012 at 5:44 PM
