Has the Indy show been changed?Walt Disney World: I noticed some changes to the Indy show on my recent visit and wondered if it was a one-off?
From Stuart Henny
I have just returned from visiting Orlando. We went to see the Indiana Jones stunt show and there were some changes to the performance on the day we saw it.Posted October 11, 2012 at 1:03 PM There was no chase across the rooftops in the middle scene with the market place. They stated that this was due to technical difficulties and so they started the scene from where Indy and Marion have supposedly just jumped off the roof. In the third scene, Marion shoots the "big" guy instead of him being wiped out by the propellor and the plane no longer "hits" the fuel truck to start the leak that causes the big explosion at the end. Was this a one-off or have they changed the show permanently?

I saw it without the propeller killing the guy too and I would hate it if that's a permanent change. Everything else I saw was the same.Posted October 11, 2012 at 1:39 PM

I was there about this time last year and saw the propeller the explosion and rooftop scene. I'd guess its once due to some difficulties.Posted October 11, 2012 at 2:07 PM

I was there about 2 weeks ago and saw differences, too. Besides the non-propellering of the stunt man, they did not have the line of flames moving towards the plane, it just sort of blew up. The roof top chase was there, though, but seemed less frantic.Posted October 11, 2012 at 4:45 PM

Wait a minuete, the propeller required a trap door, the rooftop needed to be perfect condition and the flames need extra gas. Maybe Disney has patched the door, is done paying for the maintenance on the roof and dosnt want to pay for the gas/ effect BEACUSE the show could be closing sometime soon. Anyone think that? What would replace is?Posted October 11, 2012 at 6:34 PM

I went back in August, and unfortunately most of the show was taken out due to rain :( Don't even now if they showed that scene.Posted October 11, 2012 at 9:44 PM

While I was there in mid Sept there was no propellor fate for the big guy - he was shot. And no fire for Indy and Marion to jump over etc (although I was still getting over Marion being blond, if youre gonna sell it - sell it).Posted October 12, 2012 at 1:40 AM Was quite a let down when you know what youre missing. An UNexplosive end to the show!
