Least Favorite Six Flags Ride

I am asking what is some people's least favorite Six Flags Ride.

What is your least favorite Six Flags ride and why?

From Mike Gallagher

I don't really get into reasons why I like some rides and dislike others. But for me, the Dark Knight Coaster at SF Great Adventure is the bottom of the barrel.

I've never enjoyed the (former) Iron Wolf at Great America along with the Demon. Both have left me feeling with major migraines and whiplash.

James, Demon is a steel looper, right? I always get it confused with Viper, the woodie that I liked. I remember Demon being pretty bad..then again, the woodies were the only coasters I really enjoyed there. I disliked Iron Wolf, but I'll give it another shot on my way down to VA in April.

Honestly,I'm not a fan of Aquaman at Six Flags Over Texas. Barley got wet on that. I also don't like Blackbeard or Dark Knight. Hope you enjoy your trip in April Mike! And, I also dislike anything Lonney Tunes related.

Interesting that Six Flags Great America has gotten some flack!

Anyway, I would say the Dark Knight Coaster and Iron Wolf. Iron Wolf was especially rough and not good for (ahem) us larger people.

I have never had an issue with the Demon. Love it!

Hey now, I still rank Batman (1st big boy coaster) and American Eagle highly on my list. But after two times on the Demon's two corkscrews, I'm not sure another ride's worth it. Maybe on my next visit...

Excluding kiddie coasters, these are my least favorite coasters at each of the Six Flags parks I've been to:

Six Flags Magic Mountain: Gold Rusher (it's still a decent mine train, but it's old, rough, and somewhat boring), formerly Psyclone (horribly rough wooden coaster, but it's replacement is one of the park's best rides)
Six Flags Discovery Kingdom: Kong (painful SLC)
Six Flags New England: Mind Eraser (slightly less painful SLC)
Six Flags St. Louis: Ninja (Vekoma's version of an Arrow looper resulting in a rough, unpleasant ride)
Six Flags Great Adventure: Dark Knight (putting a wild mouse in the dark removes the effectiveness of the hairpin turns...probably my least favorite of the least favorites)
Great Escape: Canyon Blaster (the worst mine train I've been on anywhere)
La Ronde: Dragon (pointless family coaster in the dark)

I've also been on a number of non-coaster rides at Six Flags parks that I wouldn't waste time doing again, but since I go to these parks primarily for coasters I don't concern myself too much with those.

You guys don't have to do roller coasters. You can also mention kiddie rides.

From Mike Gallagher
Posted February 26, 2013 at 1:19 PM
I would never call a kiddie ride "bad" because..well, because they're kiddie rides :)

From Tyler Harris

I see your point.

I had a point? Hm.

The Georgia Cyclone is the worst wooden coaster EVER. It needs to be scrapped ASAP. It is so rough it will cause bodily harm.

Six Flags Over Georgia's GASM... painful...

The Dark Knight Coaster is just awful. I remember going on it a mere 3 months after the movie came out or around that time, I was excited to ride it until I heard from all the people coming out of it saying how bad it was. I didn't believe them until I actually rode it. It's that bad and a total disgrace to The Dark Knight legacy.

Six Flags...you are NOT Universal or even Disney so don't try and be immersive with your rides because if that's the best you can do with a top notch property like Batman, than maybe you should start considering auctioning it off to Universal :)

Having only been to SFOG, and then Elitch when it was under the Six Flags banner, I'd have to say Ninja at SFOG, the ride where smart people wait outside the line and laugh at the bobble heads on the trains.

btw, I love both the Great American Scream Machine and Georgia Cyclone!!! Both are slightly rough with an incredible amount of airtime that makes the ride feel thrilling and unpredictable.

"Wensday is the last day to post!"

Good news everyone, the contest has been extended indefinitely!

Either that or Mad Max's world is finally coming to fruition.

Sticking close to home, I am not a fan of SFSTL.... the only rides at the park that I DO like are American Thunder, the Boss, Batman, Freeze (if you can avoid the weeds), and Ninja (if you can avoid the neck crushing final helix). Everything else, and I mean EVERYTHING, is mediocre or worse. Much worse.

Furthermore, adding a used Vekoma Boomerang to the park in 2013 is like washing filthy hands with fecal material. Not a good way to clean up your image, folks!

From James Rao

Nothing ends a thread faster than mentioning fecal material. Sorry about that, gang! ;)

Trexen-I mean this Wensday which is tomorrow!
And by the way, with 1 day left till the tally, i think Dark Knight Coaster has the lead. Could someone check please?

From Bryce McGibeny

I've only been to Six Flags over Georgia, and I can't say I really liked Ninja... It's notorious for being one of the roughest coasters out there, and it really lives up to it's name.

Someday, Mr. Murphy, someday.

I have been to other Six Flags parks that I did like, such as Six Flags Over Texas and Six Flags New England....they just don't take very good care of their St Louis park for some reason.

Sorry guys! Anyway the true winner is the Dark Knight Coaster with 7 votes. According to our fans,Dark Knight Coaster is the most hated ride of all Six Flags rides!
No one can submit a least favorite ride anymore, as I will be posting a new thread. Or better yet...A competition! Water Park Appeatince 2,coming now!

Late response to Orrin, but it has to be noted that they're doing some amazing work at SFOG with Georgia Cyclone with topper track. When I was there last year, they had the first drop done as kind of a test and it was an entirely different ride. Cyclone was amazing when I first rode it, but it went downhill fast. It appears that they're doing everything possible to restore it to its original glory.

I still hate the Viper at Great Adventure, 10 years after it was torn down for El Toro. Only coaster to ever actually sprain my neck.
