Dudley Do Right or Jurassic Park?Universal Orlando: Which one has the most probability of getting soaking wet?
From Jay UbillaI've been wondering, on which one do you get more soaked, Dudley Do Right's or Jurassic Park River Adventure? I'm working out which one to go through on my next trip to Islands of Adventure.

From James KoehlJurassic Park, hands down. The last time there we rode each several times. Dudley DoRight was fun, but Jurassic Park got us drenched.

From Rob PastorThere's no comparison. On Jurassic Park, you usually only get mildly wet if you're near the front with fairly heavy passengers in the front seats. Otherwise you'll just get a bit of a spray at the most....On Dudley Do Right Rip Saw Falls, there's a number of areas during the regular course of the ride that you'll get fairly wet. And then, at the end, during and after the big drop, you will get "soaked" two or three times. If it's a hot day, Dudley's your man. If its on the cool side and you don't want to get very wet, ride Jurassic Park River Adventure.

From Bryce McGibenyJurassic Park River Adventure's splash looks huge, but its really a hit or miss on the wetness factor. Even if you do get wet, you won't be soaked to the bone.

On Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls, you will, 100% guaranteed get wet. I went on it Christmas Eve 2012 (it was already cold and rainy) with my phone and my wallet in my pocket and took the front row. The drops throughout the ride's mountain will literally drench your thighs, which really sucked because I had to defend my pockets. Then the final drop, you get slapped in the face with water so many times, you can't even see. It's so disorienting.
I will ride Jurassic Park anytime of the year, even if I don't want to get wet. Dudley-Do Right is definitely a ride for a hot, hot summer's day.
From Mike GallagherYou're at the park and you'll choose only one? (shakes head sadly)

From Melanie HoweI'm really surprised at the number of folks that say Jurassic Park. They must have all sat in the front of the boat :-). If you sit towards the back, you can get away with only a mild sprinkling.

But there is absolutely no way on Earth you're going to get off of Dudley Do-Right without looking like a drowned rat. Heck, there are parts of that ride that don't even involve hills where gallons of water can get dumped in your lap.
I'll ride Jurrasic Park on almost any visit, but I'll only ride Dudley on a warm day when I'm wearing light clothes and am staying onsite so I can head back to the room to change after a few rounds on Dudley and the barges.
From Rob PastorMelanie: I completely agree with you. I've been on JP when the boat wasn't heavy and only got a light spray. Now, the people on the observation deck's wet zone get pretty drenched, but not necessarily those on the ride. It's all in where you sit and the weight of those on board. Dudley Do Right seems impossible not to get soaked on multiple occasions. But if people are misreading the topic, thinking which is your favorite ride of the two, well that might explain some of the opinions.

From Shannon NelsonYou get a little wet if you set in the front of jurassic park, but if you lean your head down, it helps, but every time ive road JP ive been able to walk around till I get dry, on dudleys and the barges I sometimes have to take the water taxi back to my room to change.

From Mike GallagherAll you guys and gals talkin' 'bout getting "wet" on these rides REEEALLLLYYY need to get your butts to Allentown, PA. Theming? None. Wet? Nothing wetter except an ocean or pool. Trust me on this.

From Orrin CarstarphenJP is definitely hit or miss (usually miss) while you are guaranteed to get soaked on Rip Saw Falls. Also you will normally get soaked on Bluto's Bilge Rats.

From Kevin HanaokaI vote for Dudley. Also, predicting that Jurassic Park is next ride to get shuttered at Universal theme parks. If JP4 is in the que, then they need a new ride to complement it.

From sarah gDudley Do-right, you may as well jump in the flume (but please don't.) that's how wet you get.
Posted February 28, 2013 at 8:57 AM
JP, you usually can escape with a mild sprinkle, but every now and then, you can get a decent splash.
One of the previous comments said it best: I will do JP any time of year, but Dudley only on really hot days.
Depending on when you are planning to go, remember that Dudley is currently under refurb!!
From Marie-Eve LandryWe were barely wet in JP (I think it depends on where you sit)...

You didn't talk about Popeye's... That one got us drenched.
But our clothes took 4 hours to dry after Dudley. It was just jumping in a pool with our clothes on. It was just ridiculous.
Spending 5$ in the drying machine might be a good investment after that ride. LOL
From jonny tolleyDefinitely Do-Right Falls. There's at least 5 or 6 times where you'll get splashed. With Jurassic Park, it's basically at the end where you get wet.

From Jarrett NormanDudley and its not close.

From N BDudley is right. If you sit in the right place on JP (back row / middle), you can get mildly wet. Dudley is a complete bath no matter where you sit.
