Drinking Around Disney WorldWalt Disney World: From drinking around the world showcase to doing the famous (or rather infamous) monorail crawl, what are your favorite drinking spots at WDW?
From Scott BFor me being on vacation means total indulgence. When not on vacation, I work out, eat right, try not to waste money on frivolous things and (besides a beer here or there on the weekend or glass of wine) seldom drink. But when I am on vacation, it is time to eat, drink and be merry.

I have a WDW trip coming up in April and I was thinking about all the great lounges and their signature drinks. What are your favorites?
My favorite drinking destination is hands down the Tambu Lounge in the Polynesian. For beers, this is probably the best selection in WDW. Fine craft brews are in abundance and of course the great Hawaiian Kona brews are on tap as well (it IS the Polynesian afterall). But the best drink there is the Lapu Lapu, which is multiple rums and fruit juices served in a hallowed out pineapple. Nothing says "VACATION" quite like sipping one of those.

From Rob PastorOur Disney favorite is a non traditional choice. We take a leisurely walk from our room, armed with a bottle of wine and a cheeseplate, to Cayman Island at the Caribbean Beach resort. There we relax, sitting at a gazebo, watching the sunset on the lake. Great ambiance and relative quiet after a noisy day at the parks.

From Scott BRob, that sounds really amazing! Nothing like some quiet time at the end of the day.

As you know Disney is not known for partying…. Universal is a much better place for such activities. Bars, clubs, lounges, cigars…
Although while in Florida we enjoy a fruity drink from Bahama Breeze called Bahama Rita. Yes it’s a GirlyMan drink but it is soooo good….
From Danielle WalkerBanana Cabana all day.. Try it.

From Scott BBrian, to me "girly" drinks are perfectly acceptable while on vacation. When I am home here in Massachusetts, I would most likely order a beer (or two) when I am out and about, but while on vacation, I am not opposed to colorful drinks with umbrellas sticking out of the top.

Danielle, I have not tried Banana Cabana but you have piqued my curiosity. I may not be able to do it all day (LOL).....but I would definitely check it out!

Bolton, Mass – I never heard of it so I had to Google Bolton…. Maybe you will get the Casino in Marlboro soon… Let’s say I am very familiar with the Attleboro’s area..
I totally understand about the Girly drinks… I am all for them… I just thought a cheese plate was a bit cheesy… It struck me as odd and funny…
Yes by all means girly drinks, manly drinks, Beer, whatever – it’s all great in Florida…
Have a nice vacation…And remember to buy some lottery tickets in Florida…
From Tony DudaTwo places come to mind as "hidden" gems at the parks. One is the Saki bar in the rear of the Japan Pavilion and the other is the Dawa Bar at Animal Kingdom (best place to sit, have a drink and watch the parade).

From TH CreativeOhana's at the Polynesian. Saturday. Get there before 3 PM (arriving ahead of the daily MK parade exodus) so you can have the bar to yourself.

Order a drink and watch the bartender demonstrate how to properly stock and prep a bar while (at the same time) pour drinks and engage with guests.
He does it REALLY, REALLY well.
