With MK's new fantasyland, does MK has the better land?

DL's version still have more dark rides + the Matterhorn + a better It's a Small World.

MK's version will have an original ride with the Mine Train + Be Our Guest + a more beautiful landscape (when everything is done)

No, I still believe that the tacky tent theming (such as the entrances to Small World, Peter Pan, Philharmagic, etc.) really weigh MK's Fantasyland down. New Fantasyland is nice, but I think that they need to ditch the tent theming in the rest of Fantasyland.

DL has the beautiful european buildings that still look good since the 80's, DL has some good rides not in MK like Alice, Pinocchio, Matterhorn, but I feel like MK's new fantasyland won't support the rest of it. The terrible queues and tents really hold it down. I like the idea of Dl small world facade being outdoors instead of whatever it's in in Mk my vote goes the DL

Gotta go with Disneyland. Although the additions aren't as extensive as MK's New Fantasyland, DL just opened Fantasy Faire & there's a new show opening at the end of the month.

Tough.... but I'm going Disneyland. It's got more rides than MK and is better in themeing.

Disneyland is much better, there are six rides that they don't have in Florida. Pinoccio, Snow White, Mr. Toad, Alice in Wonderland, Casey Junior, Matterhorn.

I've never been to Magic Kingdom, so this is primarily a "by the numbers" comparison. All ratings are based on the TPI user ratings.

Number of attractions: 16 at Disneyland (including Mickey and the Magical Map), 12 at Magic Kingdom (including the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Princess Fairytale Hall)

Number of top rated attractions: 2 at Disneyland (13% of attractions) (Fantasy Faire Royal Hall, Fantasy Faire Royal Theatre), 1 at Magic Kingdom (10% of attractions) (Mickey's PhilharMagic)

Number of 8's: 3 at Disneyland (20%), 2 at Magic Kingdom (20%)

Number of 7's: 9 at Disneyland (60%), 5 at Magic Kingdom (50%)

Number of 6's: 1 at Disneyland (7%), 2 at Magic Kingdom (20%)

Average attraction rating: 7.4 at Disneyland, 7.2 at Magic Kingdom

Number of unique rides: 7 at Disneyland (Alice in Wonderland, Casey Jr. Circus Train, Matterhorn Bobsleds, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Pinocchio's Daring Journey, Snow White's Scary Adventures, Storybook Land Canal Boats), 0 at Magic Kingdom (all Fantasyland rides in Florida exist somewhere at the Disneyland Resort in California) Note: Snow White's Scary Adventures used to exist in Florida but has since closed

Number of superior rides: 3 at Disneyland (it's a small world, Mad Tea Party, Peter Pan's Flight), 3 at Magic Kingdom (Dumbo the Flying Elephant, The Barnstormer (vs Gadget's Go Coaster), The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh) Note: The Little Mermaid is considered better in California but the California version is located in DCA

Fastpass Attractions: 0 at Disneyland (although Matterhorn Bobsleds does offer Single Rider), 5 at Magic Kingdom (Barnstormer, Dumbo, Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, Pooh)

Dining Locations: 2 at Disneyland, 5 at Magic Kingdom

Dining Average: 6 at Disneyland, 8.2 at Magic Kingdom

Castle: Magic Kingdom Castle>>Disneyland Castle

Appearance: Disneyland's Fantasyland hasn't been updated in a while, but has a well done medieval Europe theme. The new areas of Magic Kingdom's Fantasyland appear great, but they clash with the older tacky tent theme found on the rest of the attractions.

Overall: While Magic Kingdom's Fantasyland looks more impressive as you approach and the new additions will certainly improve the area, Disneyland's Fantasyland is clearly the better land (as long as you don't plan to eat there).

AJ, TLM is just about a carbon copy, but MK has a better queue. The ride still sucks IMO.

Disneyland's Version. Hands down The better version. I am assuming once Disney is finished with the new additions they will go back and revitalize the older sections. It would be great to see some more dark rides like California or even a Matterhorn style coaster.
