From where does Mickey hail?

The "Mickey" in reference is none other than Mickey Mouse.

I was reading the paper today, and a strange thought occurred to me. The article which I was reading denoted Florida as Mickey Mouse's home state. If you were to ask me where did Mickey reside, the instantaneous response would probably be Orlando. Of course, it was in Burbank where Mickey was popularized through Walt Disney's animated shorts, so another might dente California as Mickey's provenance. It could even conceptually be Missouri (Disney's childhood home) or Illinois (he was born in Chicago). However, I believe (from watching One Man's Dream at DHS) that Mickey (then called Mortimer Mouse) was conceived on a cross-continental train ride, so, given this, a whole host of states could technically be Mickey's home state. Which particular one though? I don't know, but I have a strong conviction that we, as the TPI community, can resolve this quandary, by debating whether Mickey's home state is Florida, California, Missouri, Illinois, or another state entirely.

Mickey Mouse has homes in Anaheim, California and Tokyo, Japan. (His former home in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, recently closed.)

But Mickey first came into the world on November 18, 1928 at the Broadway (then-Colony) Theatre in New York City. So Mickey Mouse hails from NYC.

I completely forgot about the two remaining Mickey's Country Homes. I heard he sold his LBV property to some dwarves for the mineral rights :)

Oak A!

Call up Disney and tell them to put that as a sign somewhere on the roller coaster. However, I think the Big Top is actually where his home was.

Anyway, I always thought that California was where he currently lives and he flys in to FL for photo opportunities.
