Just read this & not sure how accurate it is, but this is from an article posted on Forbes today.
Disney Confirms The Avengers 2 Movie, Theme Park Rides, Games
Disney CEO Bob Iger has confirmed the obvious today. After smashing through the record books with its $207 million domestic opening weekend and ruling the world with over $702 million grossed to date, Walt Disney Studios is working on The Avengers 2.
Iger also said The Avengers would appear at Disney theme parks in the future, which will be something new for the Marvel super heroes. Anyone who’s been to Universal Orlando Resort has experienced attractions like The Incredible Hulk Coaster and The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man. Now imagine what type of rides Walt Disney Imagineers can conjure with Marvel super heroes at Disneyland and other Disney resorts.

And E! News referenced the above Forbes article as well.
The success of The Avengers thus far "is a great illustration of why we like Marvel so much," Iger said.
But that's not all the Mouse House has in store.
Iger also mentioned fans can expect Avengers attractions to appear at Disney theme parks in the near future as well, according to Forbes.
We say bring it on.

I'd love to see a ride take place in Stark Tower and the Helicarrier.
Disney held their Q2 Earnings
call yesterday. At the 29:30 mark, a representative from Bank of America Merrill Lynch asked about Marvel integration in the theme parks, with Disney CEO Bob Iger confirming that WDI - for the past year - have been working on Marvel experiences. No particular time frame was mentioned, but Mr Iger did point out that WDI have "ramped it up more recently" on the topic of designing Marvel experiences for the parks.
Oh wow, can't wait!

Great foresight Disney, way to "ramp things up", AFTER the biggest tent pole feature film, ever released by a studio you acquired 3 years ago, takes the theaters by storm. Every one of these films has been a success starting with Iron Man years ago, and it's only now, because dollar signs are flashing in front of your eyes like Yeti strobe lights, that you snap to. Fire your market analysts, or hire some for that matter. Every Pixar and Disney studios film that comes out, has in the very least, a meet and greet. Would it have been so hard to devote a section to the snooze fest that is innoventions at DL to some retheming of a Stark Industries area with an Iron Man/Tony Stark meet and greet. So much for synergy. Don't get me wrong, I thought the Avengerrail was kinda neat, and the best they could do at the Orlando parks given the situation with Universal, but seeing how this movie is clearly a summer blockbuster event, that Avengerrail is pretty lame when it becomes the only quasi theme park experience for a license you've had three years time to develop for. At least something should be in the parks and tangible by the time the second one hits the theaters in a few years.
Could this be the next thing for Disneyland California?
WDW has the new Fantasyland on it's way (and it's not going to be completed for another couple of years) and then Avatar coming to AK in 2015 (or later).
DLRP has the new Ratatouille dark ride and Star Wars mini-land.
DLHK is being expanded currently, with plans for three new lands.
I don't know if Avengers would fit into Tokyo at all. Maybe?
If it comes to Paris, then it will have to go in the studios park- that place needs alot of work. In socal it could further improve DCA. I can't see a problem with it going into Tokyo Disney sea, they managed to work ToT in there ok. Hong kong needs all the help it can get.
In all cases, I hope they will set it in a "land" like the one at IOA - and create a ride that is as good as spider-man, no easy task!
If "The Avengers: The Ride" were to come to every resort, it would be like this:
WDW: Disney's Hollywood Studios (Streets of America)
DL: Disneyland (Tomorrowland)
TDL: Tokyo DisneySea (American Waterfront)
DLP: Studios (Backlot)
HK and Shanghai would be in their own parks.
After seeing mr igers bloomberg interview, I think we can rule out Orlando-regarding marvel characters, he basically said that they were very limited in FL, had some limitations in CA and no limitations overseas. As has been said elsewhere, the most interesting question this raises is, "what are the CA limitations?" he was also asked if he could forsee being able to use the characters in theme parks, east of the misippee - he couldn't.
I'm not against having the characters in Disneyland park, but I'm not sure it would be an easy fit in "tomorowland", i think a marvel land in DCA would work better
DCA has gotten enough stuff lately, so it's unlikely DCA would get it.
Looking forward to seeing this, only one fly in the ointment though this has to be better then anything at Superhero Island in IOA or it will be deemed a bust, this means it has to be better then Spiderman !!. Disney have had ten years plus to top Spiderman and have so far failed to do so. I think that this will give the Imagineers a great oppertunity to beat the boys at Universal Creative but the question is with the oppertunity for a direct head to head and a 13 year technological advantage are they up to it ?
Maybe they could re-work the journey to the center of the earth ride at TDS-and bring it to socal and Paris. in my opinion that's the only Disney ride that comes close to spider-man/HPFJ
