How does Orlando living compare to Los Angeles living?
Disneyland: Are there any L.A. area cities that compare to Orlando?

What Los Angeles area cities compare to Orlando if someone were to move from Orlando to L.A.? I live in Orlando and was thinking about living in L.A. after College. I know that overall the city of Los Angeles if a lot more expensive, but what areas around Los Angeles compare to Orlando cost of living? Is there a central area in between the theme parks?

Hey Tyler,
The LA metro area is huge, I haven't lived in Orlando, only visited, so I can't exactly tell you how it compares, but here in LA (or SoCal for that matter) you'd have lots of options.
One of the best ways to determine what area you'd want to live in however, depends on where you'll be working & your daily activities.
In terms of theme parks, (with the exception of Universal which is in Hollywood / Studio City) Disneyland, Knotts, & Six Flags are about about 45 min - 1 hour away from downtown LA...(give or take depending on traffic)

What are some of the less expensive LA area Towns.The average cost of living for a apartment in Orlando is around $830. I know overall LA is more expensive, but are there any cities around LA that compare to Orlando? It doesn't matter what area as long as its not bad.

You can find plenty of apartments in the $900 dollar range in LA proper, in good areas, although some apartments may be smaller than what you're used to. (San Fernando Valley, Glendale, North Hollywood, Burbank, Culver City)
But the outer "cities" & areas are cheaper, larger, & many have more amenities.
Here are a couple of areas.
The San Gabriel Valley: This is right outside LA & thee are tons of small cities here (Pasedana, Arcadia, Glendora, Azuza just to name a few.
Valencia / Santa Clarita: This is where Magic Mountain is, 7 you'll actually find a mix of expensive & affordable places here. It just depends on the building (many are new)
There's also plenty of areas south east of downtown, like Downey.
