What will Universal do with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Universal Orlando: Ideas?

With the announcement of the "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" movie from J.K. Rowling, based on the textbook from Harry Potter, you've got to think Universal Creative is salivating with new possibilities to further expand the Wizarding World. This is great news for Universal, as it solves the problem of the Harry Potter series being over and done with. Disney had an advantage with the upcoming Star Wars and Avatar lands, since many new movies will be coming out in the next few years for both those franchises. Now Universal has "Fantastic Beasts", and the press release did say it'll be a new series, not just one movie.

So what do you think Universal will do with "Fantastic Beasts"? I personally think/hope they will expand the Wizarding World into what remains of the Lost Continent. Fantastic Beasts would be a perfect and easy-to-implement layover. Repurposing Poseidon's Fury as a walk-through going on a hunt for the beasts like dragons, the Phoenix, hippogriffs, gnomes, merpeople, and the Basilisk would be awesome.

I have no idea for I haven't read the book. Obviously it's magical creatures but after that I don't have a clue! I'm excited that Universal can use another movie to expand this land and that it has more potential other than the books. Although Lost Continant would be a goo spot for an expansion, I'm probably one of the few people that want to keep Lost Continent just because it has so much potential, it just needs some love and attention. The movie will take place in NY so they could expand it in the NY section in Universal. I don't know if they could make another land out of it because I don't know what the movie will be like. They could, but could this be too much Harry Potter? Nahh!

Honestly? Nothing. Universal will realize that becoming Potter park is a bad thing because it may drop in popularity. Maybe throw a ride in the Diagon Alley expansion.

I honestly hope nothing. I also don't see this movie adding much to Universal Creative's ideas nor do I believe the movie will be nearly as popular as the Harry Potter movies were. I see this as more of a movie for die hard Harry Potter fans.

Maybe they can re imagine the New York portion of USO and make another ride to IOA's location where the beasts can be found?
I also hope they keep the excellent Mythical land, it's so beautiful.
But to be honest, other then minor references, I don't think we'll see anything for some time, there is already so many material with all the books and movies that they don't need to over saturate it. But it's great the movie expands.

There is also coming another Wonderbook game of the Harry Potter universe to PlayStation 3. After Book of Spells they'll release Book of Potions where you can have more stuff written and made by J. K. Rowling.
