Ironic that most of the entertainers cancelling out on SeaWorld Orlando performances have and still do play at "rodeos" around Canada and the U.S.A. Talk about animal abuse....check out some rodeo action. Also wonder if the"Righteous Objectors" happen to wear any leather clothing or shoes and whether or not they eat any cooked(or not?) animal flesh or eggs?

I think you might be inviting trolls to fight you, but I think you do have a point. The whole thing boils down to that Seaworld, Blackfish, bands, etc all have gray areas. Its not Black and White, good and evil, etc.
Well, Robert doesn't allow Anonymous comments in the discussion forum and most of us members are civilized, so I don't think there will be a problem.

Aren't all house pets technically domesticated wild animals held in captivity? I wonder how many of these crystal wearing new age store visiting Prius driving wave kissing moon maidens have a dog or a cat who is prevented from escaping their domicile.
Anthony - I've got to respectfully disagree. I looked closely at that picture of Shamu, and I can't find any gray areas. Shamu is definitely a black and white issue.
James - I'm glad you qualified your comment by saying that most of the regulars are civilized. Gallagher likes the Ramones, and I like to watch professional wrestling, so that puts us a little lower on the civilized scale. I won't even begin to try to define where TH Creative and Rao fall into the mix. There's definitely a psychology PhD's thesis material sitting with those two.
Well, yeah, thanks for the shout-out, Tim. There was a time when I fell even further off the civilized scale, as I liked BOTH the Ramones AND professional rasslin'. But alas, the Ramones are no longer, and as for the other half of the equation, although it's still around and popular, my interest is at zero. I guess I've matured (heh.)

Painful memories, Mike. Orca was one of the worst movies I have ever seen! It there ever was a classic example of Hollywood executives having no intelligence or originality whatsoever, this is it.
I can see the discussion in my mind. "Let's see, Jaws is a hit. What other big sea animal is scary and might eat people? Yeah! Orcas! Ok, let's round up a cast of B-list (1970s) actors, get a noble, all-seeing Native American to portend disaster, throw in a hot chick, and get Richard Harris to do his best Capt Ahab impression. Sounds like a hit to me!"

Yep, total C**P. Actually, my favorite Jaws ripoff was a land version...Grizzly. I wonder if that's on Netflix..haven't seen it in more than 30 years. The original Piranha was my favorite WATER-based Jaws knockoff.
If Richard Harris were still around, he'd shun the both of you for daring to mock Orca and comparing it to Jaws.
Nah. The original (and better) Dumbledore wouldn't do that :)

Honestly though if a few whales have to live in a tank and do shows in order for Sea World to be able to afford to help hundreds and hundreds of manatees, sea turtles, and other assorted animals… I mean it's not the perfect system but it's better than nothing.
