Readers' Opinions
Okay. Okay. Once again I've gotta go with my nostalgic amusement-park historian's heart here and gush about the wonder of a ride this historic and rare that is also so lovingly maintained. There used to be a LOT of these babies around. Not any more. The oldest ride at the Pleasure Beach, it's still bringing smiles to riders today just as it has for so many years. And isn't that worth a ride all by itself? And once insecurely seated in those lovely retro-rockets when they start turning and swinging outward from centripedal (centrifugal?) force, you may be surprised at just how fun this old contraption really is! And at how much like flying it actually feels. After all, there has to be SOME reason why BPB has kept it there so long, eh? - Paul Clemens
