Ice BlastDrop rideMinimum height to ride: 52 inches About Ice BlastFirst knowen as "Playstation: the ride" ,Now is knowen as "Tango Ice Blast". 12 Riders can ride at once. You are launched up a tower at 210FT with speeds around 80MPH, then you Have a Freefall Experiance, You keep falling then the ride Blasts you back up the tower again, After that the ride slowly lowers back to the ground and the ride is over. Although the park claim the ride hits 80mph. The speed for it is no way near 80mph!Its 50mph! -- Last edited by Martin Booth [Update this description | Read previous versions] Photos from Ice BlastSafety

As you enter Blackpool, this is perhaps one of the first things you see, as you enter the park, it is also one of the first things you will encounter as its so close to the entrance, you sit there in the car, as it slowly gets weighed and then BOOM you are shot up 180ft into the air. Many people say that the highlight of the ride is the launch, i completely disagree, the highlight of the ride is, without a doubt, the freefall! Regardless of wherever you sit, you WILL get airtime! Airtime of the absoloute highest quality! Forget the Wild Mouse, forget even the Grand National! Nothing compares to the Ice Blast in terms of airtime! Although the ride is a little short, but that's ok. The airtime makes up for it! This is perhaps one of the most underated rides i have ever been on! It's brilliant, and IMO you cannot downgrade it! The view at the top is amazing, especially at night! Definately my second favourite ride (nothing beats the Grand National) although a day at the Pleasure Beach is often all about "Valhalla" and "The Big One" the Ice Blast is one that definately should not be missed! 10/10 - jack briggs
