KumbaRoller coasterMinimum height to ride: 54 inches About Kumba"Kumba" translated into The African Kongo Language means "Roar".That is exactly what this coaster is designed to do. You first ascend 143 ft. into a 135 ft. drop. You then speed up to a giant loop that travels over the heighth of the lift hill. That is then followed by many corkscrews and loops all ending in a cave finale. From anywhere in this park you can hear the loud Roar of kumba as it travels over track. Readers' Opinions
Too many rides have this layout but it was the first so have to give it props. - Nicholas Kalscheuer great ride! it might be a little bumpy, but thats expected of an older steel roller coaster. wasnt much of a line when we were there on a more crowded day, and the ride was awesome! the ride ops were very nice and friendly, and the one controlling the ride was in a glass room above the station looking down on the coaster, and was very funny. maybe the best ride at busch gardens! - Jake Gould 10/10. THIS RIDE IS AWESOME!!!!!!! - Nicholas Gammon A great B&M creation, like most others. This ride is starting to show its age, but not as much as the Hulk. I thought that this ride was much smoother and more intense than its brother at IOA, and Also had a much better location and scenery. - Patrick Gorham This was just not a good ride. To me, this is intolerable. It's the roughest steel I've ever been on. This Would be an amazing ride if it wasn't as rough. I did this once and left with a headache. - Asher Oosterbaan I didn't like this ride that much. It wasn't too smooth, and I felt like it could break down any second. - Molly R
