KatongaLive showAbout KatongaKaTonga takes guests on a journey to the heart of Africa in a 40-minute musical celebration of animal folklore. The show follows a day in the lives of aspiring storytellers, called Griots, as they strive to become masters of their craft. To accomplish this rite of passage, the performers evoke traditional African stories to mesmerize and entertain the audience. Masterful puppet design, magical folklore, energetic original music and spectacular African-inspired dance combine to create the first theme park show of Broadway-production caliber. -- Last edited by Jill Revelle [Update this description | Read previous versions] Photos from KatongaSafety
Readers' Opinions
It's an excellent show. The costuming and staging is awsesome. The show is a bit long and we got a little restless toward the end. Overall, a great show that's a must-see. - Gil Long It's pretty corny... - colleen f Katonga was incredible. I loved this show, and I'm saying this as a deaf guy who relied on the visual aspects of the performance. The actors give it their all several times per day, every single day, so rest your feet and back for 45 minutes, seated in a cool and dark building, and get ready to get floored by the visual spectacle unfolding in front of you. - Daniel Binder
