Corkscrew HillSimulator rideMinimum height to ride: 42 inches About Corkscrew HillA 3-D motion simulator ride that takes guests on a grand adventure through the lands of old Ireland. McTavish miniturizes you and straps you into a magical box where riders are taken through a forest and up to Corkscrew Hill where they are supposed to be sold to a witch. Stunning 3-D visuals, and well timed motion and special effect give riders a realistic voyage through Ireland. -- Last edited by Racheal D [Update this description | Read previous versions] Photos from Corkscrew HillSafety
Readers' Opinions
Don't ride this if you have a tendency to get car sick. You won't like it. It's cute but it's quite rough. - Laura Daspit I think this is a really fun ride. The preshows are a bit long though. - scooby doobydoo this is a pretty fun ride in a quiet section of the park. The queue is a great escape from the Virginia heat and the show is moderately thrilling but not quite as intense as the other 4-D attraction of the park. - Patrick Gorham We were disappointed in the quality of ALL the BGE multi-media/simulator experiences, compared to last year. They really need to remaster the soundtracks to keep them legible. We loved this last year; it was our first "4-D" experience, and what an eye-opener. Loved when the troll ate one of our fellow wee people, LOL! - MW CAVA Corkscrew Hill is the most underrated ride in the park. Despite some volume issues when the attraction is at max capacity, I think CSH is an excellent simulator ride; maybe the best I have ridden. Also, the long queue is a nice air conditioned escape during the heat of the afternoon. - James Rao I always make time to ride this. Good that the line in the cave portion is very cool, especially during the summertime. Ride is probably a bit too rough (esp. the riding the horse part). I generally plant my feet on the floor firmly and press my back against the chair to cut down on the rocking. - Scott Sanders I pretty cool ride with good theming. For some reason though this is one of the very few rides that gives me a headache. - David Kirby Very well done. Could make you motion sick though. Be careful. Cartoon movie, not live action. With just one simulator open on day we went, this was our longest line of the day. - Leon Pfeiffer The best "traditional" (ie stationary, not talking Spider Man or DarKastle) simulator I've seen, by far. Great 3D effects, very well synched to the movie. The line tends to be long but the queue's stone walls, lighting, and faerie whispers really feel magical and get you in the mood for some Celtic magic. - Adam Imbruglio
