Jack Hanna’s Wildlife Reserve is an okay zoo attempt within a theme park. There are a few exhibits, a couple shows, and a Lorikeet feeding area. I would like to see BGE give this area more love and space, or just forget it altogether and use the space for more rides. But, again, for a small zoo area within a theme park, it provides a nice departure when you are done with the rides. - James Rao I spent over an hour watching the reserve as I absoultey love wolves. The habitat was beautiful and the wolves seemed content. In the afternoon hours there is a trainer standing around who is extremely knowledgable and can provide easy-to-understand answers to almost any question. Occasionally you'll catch them when they're being fed in which they have to obey certain hand commands from the trainer such as ones to howl. This is the same for the bald eagle area (except for the howling) which is adjacent to the wolf reserve. There is also a small stage show adjacent to the wolf reserve with a very entertaining and informational show where spectators can watch trainers interact with the wolves as they perform both basic and complex commands and listen to another trainer speak about "America's Forgotten Predator" - Philip Lupo Very nicely done. Great views of the wolves and eagles. They also brought out an owl and a falcon which could be viewed up close while being handled by a trainer. Beautiful setting. Lorikeets not out during my visit. - Leon Pfeiffer The wolves are beautiful; I could spend half the day just watching them. They seemed very happy in their reserve, too; thanks to BGW for taking good care of them. - Adam Imbruglio
