The parents of a 13-year-old boy who fell from a roller coaster ride last month at Cypress Gardens Adventure Park are suing the amusement theme park for negligence. Cypress Gardens officials said witnesses told them Llamas was standing up when he fell out. Llamas' parents dispute this. The ride was reopened the day after the accident. -- Submitted by apriln on 9/20/2006

    10/9/2008 - Power Surge - Submitted by PiratePrincess89 on 10/9/2008
I use to work at Cypress Gardens as a ride operator Oct 2007- Apr 2008. I was working on the ride called Mega Bounce one night in Early 2008 when I saw that Power Surge was stuck. I was relieved to take my 30 min break. And saw that it was still stuck in the air. I came back from my break and noticed it was still stuck. About 30 mins from that time I saw it was finally out of the air. After the park closed about 11 I asked my supervisor what happened. He told me that The ride was stuck. It was the ride operators fault however. He was fired i believe i didn't see him back at work after the incident. My supervisor told me that the ride operator paniced when a guest told him to stop the ride, He accidentally pressed the Emergency Stop. The whole section surrounding that ride was closed. And emergency was called. 2 People were severely sick after being stuck on the ride upside down for more than 1 hour. I'm not sure what happened with them i believe they were taking to the hospital. I don't believe it was reported but i know that i never rode or operated that ride again afraid it would happen to me
