Grizzly River Run reviews
Theme Park Insider readers offer their ratings and reviews for Grizzly River Run, a flume ride in Golden State at Disney's California Adventure. (The minimum height to ride is 42 inches.)
Billed as the longest, tallest and fastest "tub-style" river raft ride in the world. Look to get plenty wet, but don't expect the characters and songs that Disney delivered on its "Splash Mountain" log flume rides.
Readers' rating:
A fun water ride. The two small drops makes this raft attraction more thrilling than similar attractions found in other local parks. On busy and hot days the wait times could get up to two hours long. This ride has beautiful scenery, the bear mountain is a resort icon. Some wildlife animatronics would make this great ride even better. - Erik Avila Good theming but could be improved during the ride itself. Fast moving, furious pace rapids with excellent drops. You're almost guaranteed to get soaked too which adds to the fun. - Rob P Best rapid ride ever! - N O Your basic raft ride where you'll get wet. This ride really suffers from a lack of story. - Jeff Moon It's reaaaaaaaaaally fun! - Reggie Templeton This is a really good ride as far as raft rides go. I give it an 8/10. In order for it to be a 10/10, disney needs to add a little more story, and some animatronics would be nice. But as far as raft rides go, the drops are good, and it is better themed than any other raft ride i've been on. (other than popeye's at IOA) - Jay Finch Addendum: Just went back there on the last weekend of July 2010. I didn't realize that there were two waterfalls. This makes this a better water ride than any theme park in So Cal that have rapid type water rides. Definitely go on it whenever it's a hot day. Good place to get wet and cool down. I may have to go back on this ride a second time to remember how this ride goes. All I remember when I went on this ride in May of 2009 was getting really wet at the end. My rating may have to change when I go the second time around. - D.S. Francisco This has to be my most favorite "raft" style water ride ever! When they said you will get wet, they should of said you will get drenched! It looked like i took a shower with my clothes on! It is a lot of fun! However just be careful there isn't a "dry" bag for items you do not want to get wet. - April staten More attraction and restaurant ratings:
