Accidents Involving Injury at Disney's Animal KingdomOfficial U.S. federal and state data on theme park accidents is almost nonexistent. Unverified Reports12/19/2007 - Expedition Everest - Submitted by 18withM on 5/17/2008A 44 year old man died after suffering an apparent heart attack on Walt Disney World's Expedition Everest. He was already suffing with a certain heart problem before he rode Everest.8/4/2002 - Kali River Rapids - Submitted by Name Withheld on 5/15/2005 I was riding Kali River Rapids with my family. There were two other boys (probably 12 or 13) riding in the same raft. Once we got to the bottom of the first drop, the older boy unbuckled his seatbelt and stood up. I told him to sit down, but being a normal boy, he didn't. He then decided to do the disco. We then got to a small drop, and he slammed backwards and hit his head up against his seat. We jerked forward, and his head hit the round bar in the center. His lip was bleeding and he suffered from a short-term concusion.
