About Orange Stinger

Paradise Pier's second swing ride. In this one, you sit in individual bumblebee-themed chairs as you swing inside a giant, half-peeled orange.

The orange stinger shut down on July 14, 2009 to be rethemed into Mickey's Silly Swings, a new victorian themed Swing ride that will be themed to the 1935 Disney cartoon, "The Band Concert". This will open in April 2010, around the same time as the new "World of Color" show. The Orange Stinger "peel" was peeled off by August 2009 and the structure will be repainted with new murals, the vehicles will be redone, and a "Conductor Mickey" structure will be placed on top of the ride. -- Last edited by Robert Niles
