Silly Symphony Swings reviews
Theme Park Insider readers offer their ratings and reviews for Silly Symphony Swings, a swing ride in Paradise Pier at Disney's California Adventure.
Written by Robert Niles Silly Symphony Swings is a retheme of the former Orange Stinger. Themed to Disney's The Band Concert, an animated "Silly Symphony" short from the 1930s, conductor Mickey Mouse stands high above the swings, which swing while accompanied by classical music from the cartoon.
Readers' rating:
Your best bet if you're looking for a smaller ride in Paradise Pier. - Jeff Moon Liberating this ride from its drab orange skin was one of the stronger upgrades in the park. Flying through the air, you have unobstructed views of the park, plus a delightful classical music accompaniment now. - Robert Niles the tandem swing is a good upgrade, but i miss the iconic orange. and what will happen when high winds hit now that it's outside? - Victoria Jurkowski I tried this out on July 2010. I thought it was a just a giant merry-go-round but with swings. I didn't realize that it also does that at an angle. There is a bit of thrills involved as you don't know if your feet will hit the ride's exterior facade which shades the people in the queue. There is a tandum swing that both parent and child can be on. Otherwise, both adult and a child can go it alone and be entertained with the song being played and with the swinging of the ride. - D.S.
