Beauty and the Beast - Live on Stage reviews
Theme Park Insider readers offer their ratings and reviews for Beauty and the Beast - Live on Stage, a live show in Sunset Boulevard at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Debuting on November 22, 1991 - the same day as the film which inspired it - Beauty and the Beast plays in the Theater of the Stars on Sunset Boulevard in Disney's Hollywood Studios, at Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The 25-minute show offers a condensed version of the "tale as old as time," including five songs from the film - "Belle," "Be Our Guest," "Something There," "The Mob Song" (Kill the Beast) and the finale, "Beauty and the Beast."
Readers' rating:
We love this show. It's our favorite theme park show. Beautiful costumes and the excellent songs make this a truly enjoyable experience. - Rob Pastor Really weak show with poor costumes and dancing. Looks bad compared to Nemo and Lion King at DAK. - Sean Huckel Good show with good acting, though I wish it were longer(bigger theater and 20 extra minutes perhaps?). - David L. A good job of fitting a feature length movie into 25 minutes, acting, costumes and singing was excellent (as expected by Disney). Should be watched during every visit. - Ben Price It is a fun interpretation of the movie / Broadway show. As with any production there are pluses and minuses. The abbreviation of the songs is a minus, but adding the Old Woman at the closing transformation was a plus.If you like Beauty and the Beast, you will like this show. 8/13 - Mitchell Botwin This is a decent show with some great singing and nice costumes and sets. The songs are good and well performed. They've taken some liberties with the plot but this is to be expected as it's only a 25 minute show! Well worth a watch. - David Wilcock This show has gotten some needed attention. The performance was beautiful and entertaining. Would watch again and again! - Terri Pierce It's a good show and all but i didn't really think it was that great.7/10. - Marcos Rodriguez Perhaps alternating this show with one of the other great broadway style shows would allow people to become more interested in this attraction. - Brandie S More attraction and restaurant ratings: |
