Storybook Land Canal Boats reviews
Theme Park Insider readers offer their ratings and reviews for Storybook Land Canal Boats, a tour in Fantasyland at Disneyland.
Written by Robert Niles
Step aboard these small boats for a narrated trip through Monstro's mouth and into Storybook Land, a presentation of miniature scenes from Disney's animated films, set amongst gardens of bonzai and other miniaturized plants.
Most of the Disneyland queues are simple chain link switchbacks like you would find at any iron ride park in the nation. Furthermore, they are mostly cramped and generally uncovered. Standing in the midday sun waiting for the Storybook Land Canal Boats was quite an un-Disney-like experience. However, the attraction itself was very good, a unique diversion suitable for all audiences. - James Rao
Not everyone's cup of tea (no action, special effects, nothing scary, you don't get wet-if those are musts then this isn't at all for you). This is one of the things that makes Disneyland beautiful and charming. A feast for the eyes, and predates Legoland's mini lands, this is a great relaxing ride. If you have time to see it or need a break, I say you won't be disappointed. Although, a update would be nice. - Skipper Adam
