Overview

Downtown Disney is an outdoor shopping, dining, and entertainment area located at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.Up until 1989, only the Marketplace existed and was known as the Walt Disney World Marketplace, previously the Lake Buena Vista Shopping Village. Pleasure Island then opened, and the West Side followed in 1995. Disney has plans to demolish Pleasure Island and completely rebuild it from scratch to rejuvenate the entire district, and refer to all three zones as a collective Downtown Disney instead of Downtown Disney Marketplace, Downtown Disney Pleasure Island and Downtown Disney West Side. -- Last edited by Gabriel Perez

[535 + / 65 -] Call 407-WDW-DINE or visit http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/restaurants/ up to 90 days before your visit to make your dining reservations.

[298 + / 65 -] If staying at a Disney-owned resort, take advantage of the Extra Magic hours, where lines are short and crowds are small! It's the best time to visit some of the more popular attractions while feeling like you're the only ones in the park!

[205 + / 14 -] The Attractions you MUST get a fastpass for to save your sanity: Splash Mountain, Peter Pan's Flight, Space Mountain, Toy Story Mania, Test Track, Soarin, Rockin Roller Coaster, Kilimanjaro Safaris.
