Mick Doohan's Motocoaster is an Intamin Launch roller coaster themed to Motorcycles.
Featuring 14 full size 500cc replica bikes per train and 2 sidecars for smaller riders, the Motocoaster reaches top speeds of 72km/h
Launching from 0–65 km/h in 2 seconds riders experience 605m of track, with 18 banking turns.
As the first Aussie motorbike roller coaster and lasting around 50 seconds, Dreamworld expected this ride to be a big hit for the general public. Roller coaster enthusiasts were less than impressed, with Mick Doohan's Motocoaster coming in 356th of 357th in a worldwide poll of the best steel roller coasters in its debut year.
My 5 year old son adores this ride. We are regular visitors and this is one of the better roller coasters available to kids from 110cm. While I agree it would not stack up to many roller coasters it's an excellent thrill for younger riders looking for a thrill. I agree the back support is uncomfortable, it causes me back pain for the next day. - Jocelyn De
This coaster was really disapointing. There is not enough speed in the initial launch to sustain the ride to the end, so halfway through the course you begin to meander aimlessly. Not really worth it - Nathan Alexander
Excellent new concept to have motorbike shaped carriages. My son and I went on this. Cages for people your bags while you ride. You get really jammed in to the bikes especially the guys (if you know what I mean). Tip: when the back piece is closing on your back to secure you in, arch your back towards it a little otherwise you are in too tight. Second time round my son went in the side car, he found that alot more comfortable. Exhilirating ride. - Jadzia Dax
