Freestyle Music ParkMyrtle Beach, South CarolinaAbout Freestyle Music ParkNow known as Freestyle Music Park, the former Hard Rock Park opened in 2008, celebrating the history of rock n' roll through several themes lands, rides and live musical shows. Theme Park Insider's Russell Meyer filed an extensive trip report, with photos and video, from Hard Rock Park's opening. The park declared bankruptcy in September 2008, then was sold in bankruptcy court in February 2009 to FPI MB Entertainment for $25 million. The park reopened in May 2009, with new names for many attractions.
