Accidents Involving Injury at Holiday World

Official U.S. federal and state data on theme park accidents is almost nonexistent. That's why Theme Park Insider users are creating this visitor-maintained database of theme park accidents--to give public at least some information about attraction safety records.

7/4/2007 - Wave Pool (Splashin' Safari) - Submitted by froggles2004 on 7/5/2007

A woman who collapsed and fell into a shallow pool at the Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari theme park died of heart failure. Lifeguards pulled the 29-year-old Fort Wayne woman from the water about 11 a.m. on July 4, according to a published police report. Lifeguards and paramedics attempted to revive her, but she was pronounced dead after being taken to Jasper Memorial Hospital.

    There is a turn right before the first 90 degree turn that if your mouth is open will make your teeth shatter it hurts a good amount.But is on of the best rides out there.WOULD DO IT ANY DAY!!!!!

    A woman slipped out of her lap bar and fell almost 70f.t. and died instantly.A docter that was at the park tried to perform CPR but it could not help.

    A lady skinny enough to slip out of the lap bar and fell almost 80 f.t. and died instintly.But it was not the parks falt a wittness said she jumped off.A obtopsey will take place to see if she was drunk.But they don' sell beer at Holiday World.Its preety weired.
