This hotel is the closest hotel near Cedar Point (it's actually inside the park). When you first arrive, you have to pay $10 for parking, but the hotel reimburses you when you check in. They put us in the "historical" section of the hotel. By historical, I think they mean "old" because there was no ventalation in the lobby or the hallways of this section. There was also no elevator access in this section, so being on the third floor, I got a lot of exercise going up and down the stairs to and from my room. Anyway, the room was adequate for my husband and myself. It had a king sized bed, but a very small Zenith TV that didn't have all of the channels programmed in it and the time on it was never right, it had a small table with 2 chairs in the corner, and a dresser for our clothes. The room also had a coffee maker, but they only gave us decaf coffee to make (they should have at least given us both). I was impressed by the water pressure in the shower because it was very powerful. This hotel was completely NON-SMOKING, so I had to go outside quite often (that meant going up and down stairs quite often). They had a nice sized indoor and outdoor pool, and a very large hot tub (almost as big as the pool). 2 miniture golf courses (which 1 we couldn't play on because a duck and her eggs were near the course) and a decent sized go cart course was also an attraction from this hotel. The package I purchased from the hotel included 2 free miniture golf games and 2 free rides on the go-carts. We did take advantage of those. I really like the fact that it was right on the beach of Lake Erie. I was able to lay in the sand and just look at the lake for some peaceful time. Some things I would change about this hotel is that they should have a bar (just because there's a Friday's inside the hotel, doesn't make it a bar). They should have some place where only adults can go, drink, have fun, and have some entertainment. There was NO entertainment we could go to without leaving the park. Also, they didn't have any fitted sheets on the bed. I don't know what that was about. It was a good place dispite some of the things they didn't have. I would actually recommend it, but try to make sure your room is NOT in the historic section, unless you don't care about the comments I made above. Tomo Japanese Steakhouse - This restuarant was located inside of Hotel Breakers. It is just what you would expect from any Japanese Steakhouse. They had everything the normal hibachi would have. One difference was Tomo served a Tofu soup as other Japanese Steakhouses I've been to serve an onion/mushroom soup. I do like both soups equally. Another difference was the price. A meal I would normally pay $30 for at local Japanese Steakhouses, I paid $45 for at this one. This meal also DIDN'T include both the soup and salad (you had to pick just one), and it didn't have a shrimp appetizer. Lastly, the sake.....it was a bit more expensive than normal sake, but you had the option here of having it hot or chilled. It also came unfiltered (I don't know what makes sake better if it's filtered or unfiltered). Still a good meal, but more expensive then I wanted. Breaker's Cafe - This breakfast/coffee shop was inside of Hotel Breakers. They had NO al a carte items. Only a buffet that was $11.95 per person. I expected a Vegas buffet for that price. Their items included bread (that you toasted yourself), bagels, danishes, bacon, sausage links, hash browns, roasted potatoes, french toast sticks, pancakes, biscuts and gravy, and scrambled eggs. The eggs were both burnt and raw. Dark brown pieces of egg among slimy undercooked eggs. The bacon was badly cooked, the french toast sticks were over done, and almost everything was cold. They had Starbucks coffe there which was so strong I couldn't drink it. Not worth the money and I wouldn't recommend eating there for breakfast. The wait staff was very nice and attentive though. TGI Fridays - This resturant was also inside of Hotel Breakers. Pretty moderatly priced (just like other Friday's), except for the alcholic drinks. My strawberry margaritta was $10!?!?!?!? The only thing I didn't like about the food was the chicken in the sizzling fajitas was burnt. I don't just mean too brown, I mean char black burnt (they should have never sent that out to the customers). Not sure of what their standards are there, but that was bad. The wait staff was very pleasent though. - Carrie Wehlage

It's like a bit of the beginning of the 20th century.A historic structure. The main reception are is breathtaking.Of course I do have an affinity for many things old, being an old thing myself. - Allan birmantas
