This casual, 200-acre resort offers moderate guest rooms within five Caribbean-themed villages surrounding Old Port Royale, where guests will find shops, restaurants, beaches and a water play area with waterfall and slide.

I won't be back to the Caribbean Beach Resort. I have been there twice. First in 1989 when it was classified as a value resort, then in 2003 when it was considered a moderate resort (it still is). Rooms are only slightly bigger than the value resorts but still have the "feel" of a value resort, in my opinion. The resort is so widespread that you might need to hop a shuttle just to get to the main pool area and food court. You can rent a speedboat at the main pool area, and the main pool has a waterslide. For the same basic price, I would rather stay at the Coronado Springs Resort, which has much more to offer, better food BY FAR, and a much, much, MUCH nicer pool. - s b
