I'm going there this summer yeh out of granby primary school - Jadesola Bejide

It has been too many years to count since I lodged at this resort, was called "Dixie Landings" then, hasn't changed a whole lot since. I thought it was excellent back then and I still do today. As you can see from my pictures above, I stayed at the Magnolia Bend Mansions, superb vacation! The complete Port Orleans grounds is quite huge with a massive walkway running throughout both French Quarter and Riverside and I loved every minute of it. Usually after returning from the restaurants eating on the dining plan that sidewalk was a good idea. Enjoyed the walk over to French Quarter every day, just beautiful! The main attraction for me about this resort is the Sassagoula River boat rides to Downtown Disney, just awesome! Hop aboard and you're there in minutes, not that I was in ANY hurry. The staff was friendly and helpful, no problems checking in and even got in my room a little early. - John Chaffin

It's a little remote since it's not easily-connected to anything except DTD by boat but it still has a great ambience in the evenings especially in the Mansions. Liked the Alligator Bayou rooms better but found the Mansions more convenient. - Keith Forrest

This is a great resort with fantastic food court offerings. The pool is very nice and the grounds are beautiful. - Crystal A

Port Orleans is a huge, sprawling complex, extremely well themed and full of life. We wandered throughout all the grounds, covering both Riverside and French Quarter. I was impressed. The main pools at both resorts are awesome, making it almost unnecessary to go to a water park unless you are a die-hard slide enthusiast. For the casual swimmer, water parks are an extravagance! While we did not utilize the full service restaurant during our stay, we did eat at the food court a couple times. The food was good, but not great, expensive, but you received large portions. Plan on doing a lot of sharing, or just order kids meals for everyone which seems to be the best strategy. Cast members at the resort were wonderful. Everyone we met was pleasant and engaging, and the cleaning staff did an excellent job each day of tidying up and restocking the room. They even left a few decorative surprises from time to time, but I won't spoil the fun by telling you about those! Overall, I would rate the resort as "Commendable." The rooms are small, but extremely functional, the grounds are amazing, and transportation to and from the parks was steady and frequent. I would not hesitate to stay at Port Orleans Riverside again. - James Rao
