This casual, 200-acre resort offers moderate guest rooms within five Caribbean-themed villages surrounding Old Port Royale, where guests will find shops, restaurants, beaches and a water play area with waterfall and slide.

Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort was a pleasant surprise to us. Great landscaping around a large lake set a nice Caribbean Island mood. Though the rooms are typical Disney, small bathrooms and moderate sized rooms, the resort offers so very much. Each of the six Islands have their own private pool, which is a big plus for relaxing, since most of the kids use the large pool next to the food court. Cayman Island, connecting across the lake, is a great place to sit & enjoy a glass of wine. Activities abound from boats on the lake to a beautiful walking/biking trail through the various Islands. The food court was good and Shutters Restaurant had excellent food. We've stayed at Jamaica & Aruba. They both have a beautiful sand beach where you can take a nap in the hammock or just enjoy the beach. And for liquid refreshment, there's a neat outdoors calypso bar. This is rated as a moderate resort but the rooms are about the same size as most of the deluxe resorts, and the activities available are nearly the same, and the landscaping and grounds are better than some of the deluxe resorts. The Caribbean is a good value as Disney resorts go. - Rob Pastor
