Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa reviewsWritten by Robert Niles Located near the Downtown Disney area of the Walt Disney World Resort, Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is a "Deluxe Villa" hotel with an equestrian theme, inspired by the New York State resort.
Readers' rating:
This is my "home" resort, and I do enjoy the peace and quite of Saratoga. They have recently redone a lot of the rooms and they look very stylish. My one complaint is that the pull out bed couch is probably one of the most uncomfortable things I've ever tried to sleep on! If you want to be close to Downtown Disney, and able to walk to it (about 10 minutes) ask for a spot in Congress Park. - Julie Richert The one thing that kills this hotel when you review it is the Realtor mantra: Location, location, location! We stayed in one of the newer units and rented a studio but were upgraded to a 1-bedroom. Wonderful unit; we could have moved in and lived there. Just don't try to go anywhere as it's like living in Timbuktu - nothing is close. - Keith Forrest Our family really enjoys this resort. The cast members are friendly you are always welcomed home. If there is a problem they go out of their way to fix it. Never had any issues with any services. Been there 4x's and stayed in a studio, 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom love the idea of a kitchen and washer and dryer, a great place to stay - Kathy B Saratoga Springs is well located for access to Downtown Disney, and is within walking distance. We stayed in a 2-bed villa in the Paddock for a week, and it was a very welcome place to come back to after a day in the parks. The villas are well appointed, high spec and spaceous. My only criticism is that the resort is HUGE so walking distances are far, thank goodness for the buses, which run regularly. The pools are great, good slides. The resort is visually very attractive, well maintained and spotless. - Karen Gilbert 9/10 - Outstanding. Saratoga Springs is my favourite Disney lodging. While the vast size and seclusion of this resort may not appeal to some, I feel these factors enhance the experience. With 1260 guest rooms (and growing), Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is Disney's largest vacation club property, yet it feels tranquil and unobtrusive. The two-room suites are beautifully appointed and cozy, with dark wood furnishings, marble counter kitchens, and balconies, some of which overlook Downtown Disney. If I have one complaint, it's that the on-site dining is mediocre. However, Downtown Disney is within walking distance, and the theme parks and other hotels are accessible via Disney buses. Saratoga Springs also boasts the cheapest prices of the DVC properties. If you're looking for a resort that's in the hustle and bustle of the theme park regions, this isn't it. If you're looking for a resort that's quiet, reasonably priced (rent online from a DVC owner), beautiful, and within a short distance of great nightlife, this is it. - Joshua Counsil |
