Phantom's Revenge

Roller coaster
Minimum height to ride: 48 inches

About Phantom's Revenge

Great coaster with a long drop down toward the river (well integrated with Thunderbolt). No loops, but still cool, and plenty fast!

The Good: The ride is superfast and maintains speed throughout. The second drop is longer that first and steeply decends into the ravine at a breaknack speed. The Bad: It is bumpy for a non-looping steel coaster. Beware of the last camel humps that really toss you. However if you prepared for them it will minimize the damage. Conclusion: I would only ride this if the line is small, though the line does move fast. I recommend riding in the back for maximum speed. - Elizabeth Gray

"people's restraints will often become unfastened" They do? This ride features incredibly secure restraints because of its extreme airtime. There are seat belts as well as a lap bar that fit snugly yet comfortably. The trains were designed well keeping you safe but allowing your body enough motion that you don't feel cramped. I have never hear about or seen any restraints coming "unfastened". Give me a break. I guess you didn't like the double dip on the jack rabbit either because the seat belts are loose and the bars are fixed on that coaster. - Patrick Patterson

Overall, this ride disappoints me. It's an okay coaster, but nothing too spectacular. It's a short, less than two minute ride. The first and second drops are the best, followed by a few dives above and through the Thunderbolt. Then it heads for the "bunny hops" or "camel humps." Whatever you call them, they hurt. I'm one who craves airtime, but not pain. A redesign of restraints and a less bouncy finish would make this a much better ride. - Beth Bickar

The Phantom is a ride I've came to know and love. If you aren't into intense coasters, then don't ride the Phantom, but it's awesomeness swings you from side to side as you head up and down massive hills, especially the first one. My favorite part is the "Phantom Scream" played as the coaster heads down the first huge hill during the night time. - Addie Rascoe

This thing is a torture machine! The forces in the final hills are extremely strong when it comes to throwing you from side to side, and people's restraints will often become unfastened, making this coaster potentially unsafe! No matter what people say, head my words: SKIP IT!!!! - Greg Bark

This was the most pleasant surprise I had in 2007. This looks like an Arrow torture machine, but Phantom's Revenge turned out to be my favorite steel coaster, thanks to it's very eccentric layout (and smooth ride). - Chuck Campbell
