Theme Park Insider readers offer their ratings and reviews for Backlot Stunt Coaster, a roller coaster at Kings Dominion. (The minimum height to ride is 48 inches.)
Written by James Rao Formerly called The Italian Job: Turbo Coaster. Readers' rating:
Really intense helix and a nice tunnel. 6/10 - Will Gibson One of the better themed rides at Kings Dominion with some good dips. Good launch with good helix. My favorite part was the tunnel. Great for kids who want to feel brave. A drawback is that the fire during the second launches always turned off. Bring back that effect. 8/10 - Edward Morgan A nice ride with great theming and some good senery. I'm trying to convince all of my friends to ride it, but they don't seem interested. - Justin Curtis Great launch. Not much theming. Looks like a kiddie coaster, but this one packs a respectable punch. - Jean Seo-Park I just loved this ride. I mean I love everything from cute little fun rides to intense coasters. The blast off was fun, then you go up a few loops, looks like a parking garage, then a few small drops, then into darkness for a bit, then you get sent down another small drop over water. Just a very fun coaster and I feel as if its a must ride, especially for a family. My husband and I rode it about 6 times or more, haha we just loved it. - Monica DellaVecchia A surprisingly fun little coaster. The first launch into the upwards spiral is a hoot, and the second launch into darkness is even better. The attempts at theme and immersion are commendable for a Cedar Fair park, and I hope they continue to maintain the narrative over the years rather than abandoning it like they have on so many other coasters. I recommend this attraction for the entire family as it is more fun than intense, and imminently repeatable. - James Rao It's ok... I would like to see them use all the effects again though. - Chase Gray More attraction and restaurant ratings: |
