Flight Deck reviews
Theme Park Insider readers offer their ratings and reviews for Flight Deck, a roller coaster at Kings Island. (The minimum height to ride is 48 inches.)
Written by Ty Mullins This Arrow suspended coaster takes riders to speeds of over 50 mph. Flying through trees and over hills, this intense attraction sends riders swinging outwards thanks to the train design.
The ride opened as Top Gun in 1993 before being renamed in 2008.

Readers' rating:
I love this one! It massacred iron dragon! I love cedar point, but this was so much better. It had a lot of swinging. It was very short sadly though. 8/10 - Edward Morgan Short and sweet short and sweet - ed shaheen If or when SOB goes down *sniff* and another is built, I really don't see Flight Deck going down too just for the extra room. The ride is so short but the first drop is suprisingly halfway decent. I am still confused about how Arrow was the B&M of it's day. I rode it in 2012 and it seemed even worse. The ride operators must fight over who has to operate this one every day. I'd say less than 100 people ride this one daily. The venture to this ride and the Marathon through the queue may not make this one worth it. - Bradley Keith Suprisingly was very good. I mean I am a HUGE Cedar Point fan and the Flight Deck made the Iron Dragon look like crap after I rode this ride. It isnt the best ride I've ever ridden but it just surprised me on how good it was compared to how good I thought it was going to be. - Shayne Nissen This coaster is too short and doesn't have enough elements. BBW and Ninja are far better achievements at this style of coaster. Normally, I LOVE this style. And the queue?!?!? What a long walk for nothing. - M. Ryan Traylor Flight Deck is a verry short but awsome ride. If you really like roller coasters I sugest riding front seat. Sit down and injoy the fun. - Darrell Weaver Flight Deck, though short, is a wonderful ride because of it's speed and the amount of swinging due to the cars. A must-ride! - Matthew Riczko Its not a bad ride, but its very short so if the line is long (it usually isnt) its not worth it. Otherwise it is a good warm up for the big ones. - Michael Hurley More attraction and restaurant ratings: |
