Readers' Opinions
Flight Deck is one of the last suspended swinging coasters ever built, but remains one of the unsung rides that deserve more riders. Yes, it's short. Yes, it has zero loops. Yes, it is quite rusty. But those don't change the fact that this is a fast, furious swinging ride through the trees and cliffs. It also has very short lines(usually). - Jon Williams Another good prep ride for new roller coaster riders. Flight Deck (Top Gun without the theming) is fast and jerky, but surprisingly fun. - Byron Smith Hard to judge. Not great but a good warm up for the pansies at heart. I'll be nice. 7 out of 10. - Jamie Rieger This is a decent ride. I believe it was one of the first rides launched when Paramount bought the park, originally named and themed after the film "Top Gun". It hasn't been quite the same since the constant loop of the song "Danger Zone" was removed from the line queue area. - Sean Mackey I LOVE THIS RIDE - Glenn Sims Nice short swinger, well adapted to the terrain. It isn't Big Bad Wolf, but it's worth a short wait and the long walk. - Larry Zimmerman A thrilling Arrow Dynamics creation, Flight Deck offers fast speeds, good drops, tight turns, and an intense layout. The downside to this fun attraction is the short ride time. - Ty Mullins a good roller coaster for younger kids who are a little too afraid to ride son of beast - Brandon S Sit in the back for more thrills. - J Capps pretty good from my memory i went on about 2 years ago and it was good-then recently i got to the front and it broke down but its good to go now - kalb smith It scared me at first how the chain stops! - Logan Donovan This doesn't get the love of many due to it's short ride and no big hills or upside down thrills but this is always been a favorite of mine for just how smooth it is. It's the perfect speed for fun swooshing through the trees! My 8 year old son rode it with me last year and loved it! - Don Neal
