Theme Park Insider takes a look back at Son of Beast, a roller coaster at Kings Island that's no longer open.

The worlds tallest, fastest, and formerly only looping wooden roller coaster, Son of Beast sends riders along 7032' of track at a top speed of 78 miles per hour. Designed by Werner Stengel, SoB was manufactured by the Roller Coaster Corporation of America, while Premier Rides produced the trains.

This coaster was closed much of the 2009 season, and continues to be closed until further notice.

The ride was demolished on 11/21/12 to make room for future park expansion.
