Son of Beast

Roller coaster
Minimum height to ride: 48 inches

About Son of Beast

The worlds tallest, fastest, and formerly only looping wooden roller coaster. It made its debut in 2000 amid much fanfare and anticipation. While the Son doesn't live up to the father, it delivers height and speeds worthy of the record....218 ft tall, and a speed of 78 mph. It is Currently the Fastest Wooden Roller Coaster in the World. It also has a tendency to dish out some pain. This coaster is super intense, and not for the weak of heart...or weak of anything for that matter.

After the installation of new trains in 2007, the ride's roughness was slightly reduced. -- Last edited by Ty Mullins

Worst wooden coaster in the US. I was in pain for the rest of the day after my ride. - Will Chilcote

Was better with the loop, and breaks down ALL THE TIME. Also, don't eat for 45 minutes before going on the ride unless you want to see your food again upon exit. Other than that, SOB (haha) is a great thrill coaster that will have you spinning in circles after you stand up after - Byron Smith

Hello headache! Get ready to be bumped around. This ride is NOT for the frail. Great ride though. I love it. Ride near the end of your trip to avoid a nasty headache all day. 9 out of 10. - Jamie Rieger

Fast! Lots of steep banked curves. A bit rough--ride it last thing or you might be sore all day. - Larry Zimmerman

Although the height, speed, and length provide the desired experience, the pain put in this ride is almost unbearable. Instead of enjoying the attraction, riders often find themselves suffering from the roughness of Son of Beast. - Ty Mullins

Great ride just can sometimes be a little rough. - Brandon S

Much much better ride now that the loop is gone. The new trains removed the pain factor and left the intensity. This coaster is reborn. - Derek Potter

Its Awsome but the line is usually a 45min wait to get on. BU ITS WORTH THE WAIT! Dont get me wrong - Connor Sweeney
