An Intamin accelerator coaster, themed to be flame-emblazoned '57 Chevys, taking you from zero to 82 mph in 2.3 seconds. You launch up 205 feet in the air, then drop straight back down. Adds 2.2 gs during the acceleration.

I wish the ride was longer. Xcelerator has a really powerful launch. Its best ride at Knott's ! - nick .

This ride is the best ride ive been on in my life. its fast the line goes by quick if no one lags and its intense. I only wish it was longer cause the only thrill there is is the launch and the top hat. over all its awesome! Im a greaser myself and its my kind of ride - isaiah mercado

I wondered why there was a looping track elevated so high. Now I know. There is a very long horizontal track at the loading station. When the green light appears (just like in a race track), the coaster goes really, really fast. Launching to around 80 MPH, you first go forward, up, loop, down, and then twisting around the secondary tracks before slowing down to the loading station. Unlike Superman The Ride at SFMM, there is more to this ride than just going up and down and it is not on a hill. For some extra money, you can get a DVD of your experience on the ride. I know I did. Definitely one of the best rides I rode at Knott's Berry Farm. Hopefully, when it reopens in early 2010, all the problems it encountered in late 2009 would be fixed. I hate to see this ride retire due to that recent mishap. - D.S. Francisco
