WildwasserbahnFlume rideAbout WildwasserbahnThis is one of Phantasialand's more unique rides, as you board a Canadian lumberjack tree-trunk-canoe for a dueling log flume! After passing through a very unoriginal queue area, you begin a ride which is realistically just a series of drops and some sharp turns, but actually turns out to be exciting, as you pick up quite a fast pace. All the way through, theming replicates every wild west ride in history, with it's fake rocks and log cabins. However, the 'dueling' element of the ride turns out to be it's best point, as the drops are curved slightly, so when you go down at the same time as the boat on another drop, it starts of looking like you are going to crash! The main problem with this ride is that you get wet for the wrong reasons. The splashes caused by the boat are very small (which isn't a bad thing in the normal german weather), but the water that manages to get to the empty seats is soaked in, meaning that when you think you are sitting on a dry seat, when you sit on it, you realise different. Other than that, this is a fully enjoyable romp though the waterways of the Niagra falls that you would be a fool to miss out on, even when the queues do tend to slow down towards the end of the day.
