Explorer’s Reef transforms SeaWorld's entrance into an interactive, undersea setting. A giant blue wave sculpture now spans the park's entrance, with coral-reef decor awaiting visitors as the enter. Under the reefs, you'll find four touch pools.
Both saltwater and freshwater, the 24,000-gallon touch pools will allow visitors to interact with bamboo sharks, skates, rays, horseshoe crabs, and more than 4,000 cleaner fish. Explorer's Reef opened officially on March 21, 2014 - the 50th anniversary of SeaWorld's opening.
My kids loved having the cleaner fish clean their hands. Although I can't help but wonder how much sunscreen those poor fish must be eating!
