Manta is a Mack Launch Coaster that takes riders over and around the former Forbidden Reef section of the park. The ride's kicks off with a high-speed launch from a video tunnel, upon which images of rays are projected upon a 270-degree curved screen.

Manta covers its 2,835 feet of track in 1 minute and 56 seconds - the speed tops out at 43 mph and the largest drop is just 54 feet, but the twisting track design provides plenty of airtime.

Also part of Manta is a 100,000 gallon touch pool and aquarium that allows guests to reach in and touch/feed California bat rays, white sturgeons, and shovelnose guitarfish. Go downstairs (either via the ride line of the non-rider's side) for an underwater view of the aquarium animals!

This ride is amazing. First off, the restraints are most comfortable of all the coasters in Southern California. The launch is pretty fun, and I love the seemingly endless over banked turns. Also, this ride has a ton of airtime. This is the first family coaster I've ever ridden to contain multiple airtime moments. Also, I love the quick transitions, which are reminiscent to those of an Intamin Blitz coaster. In the end, Sea World had tons of restrictions when they made this coaster, but they made the best coaster they could've possibly made. This is, in my opinion, the best family coaster in Southern California. Sorry Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Revenge of the Mummy. However, this is very much a front seat coaster. When I sat in the last row, the ride had a horrible rattle, the transitions were uncomfortable and almost painful, and there was little to no airtime. 8/10
Really well done, to pack a lot of fun into a small area.
If you prefer air time to crushing G-forces, you will love Manta.
Sea World hit a grand slam here. Even with the strict guidelines that this ride couldn't be taller than a certain height, Sea World created a thrilling coaster that still manages to be family friendly.

The queue is fun to look at and the launch tunnel is definitely something unique. The ride is lengthy and just flat out great fun.
