About Shark Encounter

The 280,000-gallon attraction features a 57-foot acrylic tube running the length of the sharks’ habitat. Sand tiger, bonnethead, blacktip and whitetip reef sharks are among the species living in this popular attraction.

This is a great environment in which to see the sharks on most days. When the park is crowded, however, the layout here makes it difficult to get a good view, especially for kids or shorter adults. Also, though they do have staff on hand to answer questions, I think that more signs, placed on the walls opposite the viewing areas (so as not to be obstructed by the crowds)would help with the educational aspect. - David Eggert

8/10 I love Sharks. When I was 7, all I ever did was research sharks (I was such a dork when I was little) and I still know a crapload about sharks. This would have been my heaven when I was 7. But I still found it pretty fascinating. - Jack Borgeson

One of the most popular exhibits at Sea World. This exhibit features an above water exhibit with small fish before moving on to the main attraction, a moving walkway inside an underwater tank surrounded by sharks. This attraction is one of my favorites and is always a priority to visit when I'm in the park. This exhibit tends to get really packed during the day especially when a nearby show ends, so make sure to visit this at night when it is emptier and more enjoyable to experience. - Manny Barron

Love the animals and the atmosphere of the place. The actual tunnel is too short though, and it seems like it's over before you even get to see much. - Brandon Mendoza

It's cool when it's not crowded. When there's a lot of people there it's annoying because everyone just stands there and looks at the sharks at the beginning for way too long and the best part is at the end. But it's cool...I mean besides that aspect. You should definitly see it. - Chloe !

It's cool how you can get such a good look at the sharks. The best part is definitely the end. - Erin : )
