Shanghai Disneyland is scheduled to open in 2015 and will be Disney's second theme park in China (after Hong Kong Disneyland) and fourth theme park resort outside the United States. (The others are in Tokyo and outside Paris.)
Disney will own 43 percent of the park, with the remainder held by the Shanghai government, through a holding company. The park will feature Disney's largest theme park castle, and instead of a Main Street, will include a larger entry plaza, with water elements and nods to Chinese culture.
