Theme Park Insider readers offer their ratings and reviews for Frisco Silver Dollar Line Steam Train, a railroad at Silver Dollar City.

A 20-minute steam train ride through the Ozark countryside. Midway through the excursion (while the train builds up steam for the last leg of the trip) train robbers briefly interrupt your ride with some mildly amusing antics.

The Christmas version of the ride replaces the train robber scene with a retelling of The Christmas Story. Furthermore, the entire route is decked out with Christmas lights and decorations, and you are encouraged to participate in a Christmas Carol sing-a-long during the ride.

The Christmas train was a highlight for us. A pleasant and rather touching experience all around. - Tim Chatlos

For most of the year, this train ride offers a better than average tour around the park. However, during Christmas the attraction is amped up with songs, beautiful decorations, and a warm retelling of the story of the birth of Christ. I highly recommend a train ride during the Christmas season. - James Rao
