Opera House Theater
A Dickens' Christmas Carol is very likely the best theme park production I have ever seen in any park, Orlando or otherwise.
Offers a variety of quality live entertainments during the year. Standbys include "Headin' West" and "A Christmas Carol". "Headin' West" is a 45 minute musical about a man, his wife, and his soon-to-be-born child as they make their way to a better life somewhere out in the western frontier. Nice show. Very well done for a theme park outside of Orlando! The songs are re-engineered versions of Broadway musicals (ex. Ragtime) and Disney classics (ex. Pocahontas). Acting and singing are very well done. "A Christmas Carol" is an astonishingly good holiday production. A simple retelling of the Dickens' classic, the show is very well acted, choreographed, and decorated, and the singing, music, and special effects are phenomenal. You'll be extremely impressed. I highly recommend a visit at Christmas time, as this show alone is pretty much worth the price of admission.
