About Wild One

A classic out and back wooden coaster redesigned in 1986 by the Charles Dinn Corporation that features a 98-foot lift hill, a series of speed bumps that lift riders off their seats and a 90-degree spiral helix. This coaster has a track length of 4,000 feet and reaches speeds up to 60 mph. The Wild One was modified in 1997 to accommodate the addition of the Typhoon Seacoaster attraction.

Great Oldie. The only problem is that now in '09, it got much rougher than it was last year. In '08, you could ride it over and over again if there was no line and it would still be fun. Now, you can't ride it 3 times in a row! This exact thing happened to Roar. - Eli Katzman

My favorite woodie until I rode the Beast at Kings Island. Most people don't know this but the original version of this ride was built in around 1917 in Hull, Massachusetts. Which makes this coaster one of the oldest in the USA. - Will Chilcote
