It was the kids fault, end of story. -- Submitted by aprildot on 7/13/2008

so true -- Submitted by steelers on 4/9/2009

This is very sad. Be sure to remind your kids, if you are a parent that signs in amusement parks and otherwise are to be strictly obeyed. This kid and his buddy were apparently outside the park and hopped two fences to get back in. There were warning signs with "Danger" on them. Bottom line: obey the signs and safety rules everywhere. No one spends money on a sign that is not necessary. My heart breaks and goes out to the parents and family and youth group for their loss. May his loss not be in vain, tell your kids of the consequences of disobeying warning signs so this will not happen again. -- Submitted by Breabonnie on 8/3/2008

A 58-year-old park employee was struck by the leg of a 14-year-old girl seated on the front car of the ride. The man was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The employee was in a restricted area underneath the coaster, which suspends passengers in ski-lift-style chairs.

The teenage girl suffered an undisclosed leg injury.

The girl that struck the man was my girlfriend at the time, we were both 14. I sat next to her on the ride. The man died on the spot because we heard his skull get crushed. He didn't move right after the strike. She splintered her leg but is okay. She ended up suing six flags and winning, I opted to not participate even though I could have won some money. -- Submitted by dboyer87 on 6/29/2009

An approximately 40 year old man collaped from chest pains after riding a roller coster in the Batman area. His elderly parents requested help from park officials and were told that security must be sent first before the park paramedic could be called. It took over 30 minutes for the security guard to show up who when ask did he know CPR responded with a no head shake. When the park paramedic was called by security he showed up about 10 minutes later with only a empty wheel chair. He did not bring any supplies or defibulator.

I was told by a former foreman of Batman the Ride last year that this exact event occured. I was told that a lady came back with no pulse and it was because of a rare heart disease she did not know about and it was after she had just had a baby. -- Submitted by smitch12 on 8/25/2002

I just wanted everybody to know that the woman that was on that ride didnt come off of it the same way she was. Shes is my family. And I was visiting here that summer when it happened. She was to get married that fall. My family suffered a lot of pain because of what happened. She is now braindead and has the learning ability of a three year old. I miss her the way she once was. Its so hard to deal with something like that. So please to all of you that read this think twice before just jumpin onto a ride because its "fun". People get hurt and in the end its really not worth it. I love you DANA. -- Submitted by dria8 on 11/5/2006

My fiancée and myself were waiting in the fast pass area for this ride when this incident occurred. We noticed that everyone had exited the ride, yet they were still not allowing anyone on. One of the ride personnel was at a seat area and frantically motioning for one of the other employees. Both myself and my fiancée have advanced first aid training, and asked if assistance was needed. The blank and pale look of the employee as well as the terrified look of a young girl close by told us all we needed to know. We jumped the small partition and moved to the seat. There was a young lady between the age of 18-25, slumped back in the seat and the Six Flag employee. We checked vitals immediately, and the young lady was in full arrest, as well as she had lost control of her bladder. There was no emergency people on site at that time, and our assessment was to remove her from the ride, while keeping neck as stable as possible. I actually had to threaten the employee to move out of the way. We moved her to the side area, checked for any obvious injuries and started full CPR. I told the Six Flags employee we need an actual ambulance and not just their first aid team. We continued CPR until the Six Flags CPR team arrived. At this point it seemed like forever but was likely only 10 min or so. They assisted in taking over, and I began a better examination of the girl checking for any bites or stings, but found nothing. I then questioned the young girl that was with her as to any medications or anything else she may have been taking, but nothing. The actual EMT's (I believe it was Cobb County) arrived and administered I believe atropine and used a defibrillator on her. They got a weak pulse and then transported her to Parkway Hospital off of Thornton Road. We went to the ER as well, to offer comfort to the young girl, who is her sister, and then later left. We found it odd that we never read anything about the incident until I found this site, and people I recount the incident sometimes do not believe me because there was never a news article about it. -- Submitted by TSechler on 8/29/2009
