Welcome aboard Captain Jake's Amity Boat Tours, where nothing goes terribly wrong.

Except for that shark thing.

Jaws was one of the original rides in Universal Studios Florida, although its initial version was closed for a complete rebuild. When the attraction finally opened, it offered a more sarcastic take on Amity and its shark than the straight-ahead thrills and suspense of the Steven Spielberg original film - though this Jaws still packed an explosive punch. (Opening more than 20 years after the film, perhaps this was the only way to play the attraction and still resonate with the audience.)

Jaws closed on January 2, 2012, to make way for Diagon Alley and the Universal Studios Florida home of Harry Potter.
