Universal's Cinematic Spectacular - 100 Years of Movie Magic reviews
Theme Park Insider readers offer their ratings and reviews for Universal's Cinematic Spectacular - 100 Years of Movie Magic, a live show in Waterfront at Universal Studios Florida.
Written by Robert Niles Replacing "Universal 360 - A Cinesphere Spectacular," this new night-time show, with narration by Morgan Freeman, celebrates Universal Studios's 100th anniversary with scenes from some of the studio's top films, projected onto water screens in the Studios' lagoon. Choreographed lighting, fountains and pyrotechnics will complete the experience.
Readers' rating:
A good show celebrating 100 years of Universal. I'm not in a rush to see it again, but if you get the chance, see it. Tip: The Simpsons Ride area has the best view, plus fireworks are shot off from there, 7/10 - Dominick D @rob pastor It's actually the rocks in east green park - robert morris Fantastic. It's basis is similar to the all time film montage at the Academy Awards, only more & better. There is so much going on, fireworks, fountains, film clips, dialogue, music, that it takes multiple viewings to see it all. We saw the show opening night plus three subsequent showings, and we still had not absorbed it completely. The new water screens are nearly as picture perfect as a real film screen. And Morgan Freeman's superb narration makes it complete. I never thought I'd enjoy a show as much as Fantasmic, and this is just as good, but in a more adult oriented way. Adults that are well versed in film will enjoy this more than teenagers or children. Universal was previously lacking a great night time show. Now they have it..... The best place to observe the show is from the boulders in the Central Park area. - Rob Pastor It's an outstanding tribute to 100 years of Universal movie magic. - Domenik Jost The fountains and fireworks shoot up into the sky in great patterns, but it gets old after a short while. While good, it doesn't have the beauty, grand scale, or story like others nighttime spectaculars. - David L. More attraction and restaurant ratings: |
