Replacing "Universal 360 - A Cinesphere Spectacular," this new night-time show, with narration by Morgan Freeman, celebrates Universal Studios's 100th anniversary with scenes from some of the studio's top films, projected onto water screens in the Studios' lagoon. Choreographed lighting, fountains and pyrotechnics will complete the experience.
It's no Illuminations or Happily Ever After. It's just meh.
A big nighttime event, designed to cap your day at the park. Shown on the lagoon in the middle of the park, the presentation runs through film clips and music from the first 100 years of Universal’s biggest movies. The scenes are projected onto three enormous “screens” made by raining a curtain of water from a frame into the lagoon (similar to Fantasmic! at Disney's Hollywood Studios, but much sharper and almost better.) Fireworks and colored lights are also effected and used well in this presentation. I still think Disney does better Fireworks shows than this but it's quite awesome for Universal and celebrating 100 amazing years. The show has refrences to past USF attractions like Back To The Future and Jaws. It has it's own nostalgia because of this, I like it. In short, it's an enjoyable way to end your day at USF. 7.5/10
I don't care for it. A collection of projections with no story to be found to it and some nice water effects to enhance it. During the day the barges are an eyesoar but I've heard they are on their way out.
A good show but was a bit disappointed. Right now Disney definitely does better shows. Universal needs to step up its game for shows!
